Nathan's obituary

In Loving Memory of Nathan Orlando-Jepsen

March 25, 2003 – June 13, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nathan Christian Orlando-Jepsen, age 22, who left us far too soon after a courageous battle with lymphoma.

Nate was a young man full of life, heart, and soul. He had a deep love for the outdoors, fishing at the cottage, spending time with friends at the beach, snowboarding, or sitting around a campfire late into the night. An avid athlete, he grew up playing hockey and formed many close friendships on the ice. He also loved baseball and golf, always the first to say yes to a game.

Nathan’s passion for motorcycles and cars wasn’t just a hobby; it was a symbol of the freedom and adventure he so deeply cherished. With country music playing, the open road was where he felt truly alive.

He had a spirit that lit up every room. With an easy laugh and a generous heart, Nathan built strong and lasting friendships. Even in the darkest of times his lighthearted jokes and quick wit brought comfort to those around him. He was the kind of person who brought people together and made everyone feel like they belonged. Nathan always showed up, whether it was to lend a hand, share a laugh, or simply be there when it mattered most.

Nathan was deeply loved by his family. He shared an unbreakable bond with his parents, Jennifer and Preben (Christina), whose support and love were constant. They guided him through his hardest days and celebrated his best. His sister, Madyson, was his closest confidante and lifelong friend. He will also be dearly missed by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the dedicated teams at the Walker Family Cancer Centre and the Juravinski Cancer Centre. Their compassion, expertise, and unwavering care provided comfort and dignity to Nathan and his loved ones during his most difficult days.

Nathan leaves behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and love that will live on in everyone who knew him. His journey was not defined by his illness, but by the way he lived: fully, fearlessly, and with open arms. We are grateful for every moment we shared with Nathan. His light will never fade. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Nathan’s life will be honoured on Thursday, June 19th, 2025 at Pleasantview Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be from 11am to 3pm with a service to follow at 3pm. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 20th, 2025 at the St. Catharines Rowing Alumni Association Hall in Port Dalhousie (please see events tab for details).  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a memorial fund in Nathan’s name via Ever Loved.
