Background
Please consider making a donation in Mickey's honor to one of these outstanding organizations that changed his life for the better. Golf formed the bedrock of Mickey's tenacious personality, close friendships and professional success. First Tee Tennessee is a charitable organization founded by his dear friend and professional golfer Loren Roberts. It introduces young people to the game of golf and its inherent values of integrity, respect and perseverance. Please choose Memphis in the dropdown menu of the donation page. Mickey also loved animals, especially dogs. When his granddaughter Ariella brought dogs from MidSouth Therapy to visit him at home, in the hospital and the Memphis Jewish Home, his eyes lit up and a big smile came over his face. Last but not certainly not least, you may not know that Mickey became a partial leg amputee (at 81 no less!!). Michael Clark, founder of Rebound Amputee Support Group, was instrumental in helping Mickey build the confidence and skills to manage that major life transition. While there is no direct way to donate to Rebound, you can message Mike through the Rebound Facebook page to find out how to help.
