Mr. Michael Lamar Hinton age 73 of Coosa Run in Blairsville passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday July 30, 2024 at home.  Mr. Hinton was born on October 12,1950 in Kimball, NE., the son of the late Samuel Lamar Hinton and the late Anita June Beach Hinton.  Michael loved University of Florida and Atlanta Falcons football and the Atlanta Braves.  He was a loving, caring, and supportive husband, father, brother and grandfather. He loved spending time with family and friends watching sports and cooking out.  He always had a smile on his face, was quick to laugh, and loved to play with his grandsons.

Surviving Mr. Hinton are his beloved wife and best friend of fifty four years, Connie Jo Berkshier Hinton of Blairsville;  one daughter and son in law, Heather and Eduardo Zunzunegui of Atlanta;  one son and daughter in law, Heath and Susan Hinton of Morganton;  one brother and sister in law, David and Ellyn Hinton of Palm Bay, FL.;  one sister and brother in law, Nancy and Dave Reynolds of Huntington, PA.;  and two grandchildren, Aaron Zunzunegui and Sam Hinton.

The family will host Visitation at Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville, GA on Saturday August 10 from 1:00-2:00 pm.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with Rev. Mike Welch officiating.  Following the Memorial Service there will be a Celebration of Life at the Union County Community Center at 3:00 pm.
