Personal note from Mary's Children: Her Final Wishes

Thank you all for loving us and our mom, and your support and care through this difficult time. Before our mom's passing she expressed to us her afterlife wishes that we would like to share with you all.

1. At her Celebration of Life she asks that we all do not wear all-black. She wants everyone to be there to reflect on our happy memories of her, to not to dwell on her fate but to celebrate how she lived. She asked (in her words) "they show up in a nice outfit they know I would say ooh you look good in that!" So please come dressed to impress Mama White and celebrate.

2. Our mom did not want there to be a viewing of the body. She wants your lasting memories of her to be those precious moments you all shared together. Per her request she will be cremated prior to her Celebration of Life.

3. Our Mom wants us, her children, to take a trip and give her ashes a water burial so that she can "swim for the first time, in the ocean's pretty blue waters". We plan to honor her wish and give her a water burial for her 2025 birthday.

We ask that you please share your favorite memories here on the site along with photos we can share at her Celebration.

We thank you so much for celebrating her life with us, sharing your photos and memories, and respecting her final wishes.
God bless you all.

Love,
-VDMJ
