Personal note from Lynda’s niece, Candace (aka Can Pan)

My dear Aunt Lynda meant so much to so many people. I loved that she wanted everyone to win. We were joined at the hip these past few months and it feels odd with her not around. When I first decided to leave my job in Tennessee, in 2006,
she immediately reached out to me and said I can stay with her as long as I needed to. I’ve made Georgia my home and have lived here almost 16 years. I remember when I was planning my small wedding in 2012, she told me, it is your day and me and Ponkie (my grandma) will be there however you need us. Her and my grandma assembled my 30 wedding favors by hand. I will never forget that. She also helped my Mom with my engagement celebration which was so much fun! My aunt was a woman that did not require validation from anyone and I loved that about her. She loved people, animals and children, especially her Aniyah who called her Tee-Tee. She was a strong, captivating and opinionated woman and stood by her stance. These past few months we were able to connect on a deeply personal level. We talked about everything! She often said that she wanted to impact the world one person at a time. I will miss her saying “girrrlll” every time she was in agreement with me after I told her a story. LOL. I promised her that I would make sure she was well taken care of while in hospice care. When she would say “Can Pan” (my family nickname), I would be right there! With the help from her amazing close friends (Gwen, Belinda, Shelonda and Maisha), my faithful dad Beverly Goodwyn (whom we affectionately refer to as Goodis) family, neighbors, church members from Hopewell and Eagle’s Nest, co-workers, business partners, Bridgeway in-home hospice care and Golden Home Services, we did just that. My sweet dear aunt will be thoroughly missed by everyone that knew her. Finn and Yuma, her loving and faithful K-9s have been re-homed and are being well taken care of with their new family. And they are together which makes me really happy. I love you and miss you every moment of the day Aunt Lynda! Kiss Grandma Goodis and Aunt Bea for me. ❤️
