Love their smiles. Miss them…
2010, Tempe, AZ, USA
Love their smiles. Miss them. Best friends with Peggy for 55 years and Lon just naturally became part of our friendship.
Dad was genuinely kind, sincere, and wanted to help other people.

It is with deep sympathy, I greet all who knew and loved Lon. He had a profound affect in my whole life. My family and I will carry on and keep Lon and Peggy in our hearts and our memories probably forever. Biblically, some of us were sowers of a family and a dental practice and others are here to reap what was sown, plant some more and also have enjoyed and benefitted greatly from knowing Lon and Peggy. I am honored to have been a part of Lon’s life and to carry on with all of our children and grandchildren. God’s peace and joy to you reading this.

Our dentist for 38 years. A good and kind man, and a gentle caring dentist. He was also an outstanding Kiwanian having served his Tempe Kiwanis Club as an officer and as Lt. Governor for the Southwest District of Kiwanis International.
Lara, Damon, Amber, Trevor & the rest of the family:
I am so saddened by your loss. I like to think of Peggy and Lon "together forever". I hope you find comfort in your sweet family memories.

Love,
Debra McCall

As Dr. Lawrenz's hygienist, I was privileged to go to the School of Microbiology in Bozeman Montana with "Doc". We attended lectures on micro organisms and how to kill them. We toured the lab and at one point they passed around a test tube with micro organisms dyed red and green. As the test tube was being passed around, we were told the micro organisms in the test tube were Staph. We were all thinking the red and green sparkly test tube looked like Christmas colors. I said a picture of it would make a cool Christmas card. Doc chimed in "and the inside could say Merry Christmas from Me and my Staph!" A good laugh was had by all!

Diane Terralo Shulda: "These pictures were taken in early Jan of this year, we were closing up the office, little did we know that Lon would no longer be with us in just 6 months. We had been with him for 25 years. Myself for 30. He treated us like equals, never talking down to us and always joking around. He loved his patients. Many had been coming for 40 years, as well as their children, and their grandchildren. We were blessed to have such a wonderful employer. It was a pleasure to go to work everyday. Lon will be sadly missed. Rest in Peace my friend. "
I remember when i was growing up, someone would call almost every weekend on a friday or saturday anywhere from 10 pm to 3 am and dad would answer the phone. It would be someone telling him they cracked their tooth or broke it and they were in severe pain and needed pain pills. So instead of just telling them no or they would have to wait until Monday, Dad would get dressed at 2 in the morning and tell them to meet him at his office so he could get it fixed for them. Every time, they never showed because they just wanted the pain pills, but that didn’t stop him from doing the same thing when the next person called at 2 am. I was very lucky to have him as my dad and i miss him more than anything. Love you dad.
