In loving memory of Linda Margarita Beltrame Chivers, 71, who died peacefully,  comforted by family on February 29, 2024.

Linda was born at Des Moines General Hospital on July 15, 1952 to Mildred (Godwin) and Arthur Beltrame. She graduated from Saint Joseph Academy in 1970.

After graduation, she worked for the U.S. Postal Service. She went on to work as an accountant. After raising her children, she went back to school graduating from Des Moines Area Community College and Grand View University. She worked as a youth and substance abuse counselor before retirement. She enjoyed music, gardening, art, photography and poetry.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Arthur. She is survived by her children David, Theresa (daughter-in-law) and Elizabeth; three grandchildren Isaac, Carson and Julianna; and her sister Donna.

At her request, in her final wishes, a private ceremony will be held for her immediate family and her ashes will be scattered in the Colorado mountains. She wished to be remembered as a loving mother, compassionate counselor and loyal friend. 

In lieu of flowers, enjoy a family dinner or outing to celebrate each other in memory of Linda. If you’d like to make a gift, the family would appreciate it be made to Taylor House Hospice.
