So many memories. Family gatherings, shared birthday parties, growing up with our family, sledding at the farm..Lauren and Daryl built a big heavy sled. They chose a steep hill with a big snow bank to jump. On the trial run, the boys rode the sled over the bank. It never made it to the bottom. They came up the hill grinning. We will miss you so much.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you gather and share memories of Lauren. I remember him fondly over the years and hold a smile when someone calls me Lauren. I just smile and say “ he was the tall one growing up and I’m not there yet”. Rest easy Lauren, your job here is done. Laurel
Sandy and Family, I was so shocked and sadden to hear of Lauren's passing. He was the Nicest and Best Boss I had at Cal- West Seeds for many yrs. I have nothing but Beautiful Memories of him. He will never be forgotten ❣️ He lend me a rocking horse many yrs ago for my grandkids, that Lauren and his father made. I would like to return it.
I am sorry to learn of Lauren's passing. He was an excellent scientist, a kind and patient soul, and well liked by everyone with whom he came into contact during the 15 years we worked together in research at Cal/West Seeds.
I was so sad when I heard the news of Lauren's passing. I always thought of Lauren to be an extremely bright and friendly person. He is in a better place now.
Lauren was always a leader through his convictions and respect for others. I remember in school he mastered that rubix's cube. To this day, although a simple memory, it impressed me of his approach to resolve it AND the fun we all had watching and timing him. The simple things. God Speed Lauren.
Sandy & Family, we wish that we could be there for Lauren's memorial service. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and on our hearts. We are thankful for Lauren's faithfulness and for the wonderful memories we have of you all from the Woodland, CA days. Take spiritual care.
