On Thursday, May 18, 2023, we lost Laurie Schoof, the beloved Wife of William Schoof and Mother of Sarah Schoof and Diana (Joshua) Kaiser. She was the Daughter of Renée (the late Gerald) Goldman and the Sister of Janie (Jay) Odlen and Susie Goldman. She was the Nana of Brendan and Maia Kaiser and the Aunt of Cara Bookbinder, David Odlen, Dana Oster and Kerry Oster.

Laurie was the light of our family. She brought joy and happiness into any room she entered. She was best known for her warm heart and selfless care of her family and friends. Laurie made an impact on anyone she met, whether she had known them for years or met them in passing. Although she will remain in our hearts and souls forever, she will be missed more than words can describe.

For those who knew her best, you know that she had bravely mounted a battle against a terrible disease for the past 8 years. She never gave up and credited the extension of her life to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, in Pittsburgh, PA. This hospital gave her the gift of time with her family, well beyond her original prognosis. As such, the family is requesting that condolences be made in the form of a donation in her name to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Director's Discovery Fund: https://securelb.imodules.com…, in lieu of flowers. The Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 1 PM at West View Cemetery of Rodef Shalom Congregation. For those unable to attend in person, the family has setup a virtual option (details below). Following the Graveside Service, at 3pm, the family invites you to Laurie's Celebration of Life at there family home, located at 344 Crest Ln, Mars, PA 16046.
