Larry Eugene Heister was born in Ashland, Ohio, on July 11, 1937. He passed away in Auburn, Washington, on April 26, 2024. Larry is survived by his children: Doris Van Ness, Russell Heister, Verona Cruz, and Ryan Heister. He's also remembered by his son-in-law, Claudio Cruz, and daughter-in-law, Erin Heister. His grandchildren, Elaine Cuvelier, Kristen Hermes, Cody Heister, Cameron Heister, Aimee Heister, and great granddaughter, Harmony Heister brought him much joy. He is also missed by  his brother Robert Heister, and sister Patty, Ernie Gilmer and many friends from the Bonney Lake Senior Center. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Heister and Doris V. Taylor.

He was also preceded in death by his wives/Domestic Partners: Shirley, Elaine Heister, Barbara Henry,  Joanne Konop, and most recently, Aretta Robinson.

Larry was proud of his community service. He donated over 30 gallons of blood, served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, and helped deliver 13 babies. He was known for his humor and always aimed to make people smile and laugh. Whenever asked about his birthdate, he'd say, "I'm a lucky baby, 1937."
