Judith Ellen Newdell Cirillo, known as Judy to all, passed away very peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026 in Camden, Maine.

Judy was born November 28, 1937, the second of four children in her family.  She grew up in Bayport, NY and trained as a nurse at Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital in NYC.  She married Richard Cirillo in 1961 and they raised their two children Fred and Cara in East Patchogue, NY, keeping close ties to both sides of their families.  Judy earned a BSN from Adelphi University, and a masters degree from SUNY Stony Brook.  As a nurse practitioner, she worked for the Suffolk County Health Department doing diabetes education.

Judy was a loving mother and a friend to all.  She was involved in many humanitarian organizations and played violin with her community orchestra. She eventually moved to Maine to be closer to Cara and her growing family, then to Cincinnati to be closer to Fred and his growing family, then to Portland, Oregon and back to Maine.  She developed deep friendships and community ties in each of these places.  Judy also loved to travel and went on solo adventures to India, Spain and Mexico in her later years.

Along with her children Cara and Fred, Judy is survived by their spouses, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
