James Parker (Jimbo): Surprise Birthday party for Judy at Becky's
Thinking of Mom today on her 84th birthday. I miss her grace and strength.
I didn't know Judy long, but grew very fond of her in the few months I knew her. I was an in-home caregiver for her and every time I went to see her she greeted me with a smile and a great attitude. I always really enjoyed my visits with her, we always shared some laughs, and it was such a pleasure to help her in any way I could. I will very much miss Judy and my heart goes out to all her family and friends.

Where to begin. Judy was my friend and mentor during my teenage and young adult years. She gave me the chance, confidence and opportunities to reach people through musical theatre. From auditions to rehearsals, building and striking, after show parties and gatherings at her home, there was a love and camaraderie so special and needed in life. The light she brought to the world will shine forever through those she touched and her memory always treasured. Thank you Judy…I love you ❤️ 🎼  🎭

So many stories, not sure where to start. Opening the pool at Grammy and Grampy’s and watching her swan dive into the deep end. Judy taking care of me when I swam so much that I got swimmers ear. Judy sitting at the kitchen table playing cribbage (“15-2, 15-4”) with my dad, Pat and Ginny. Laughing as she crawled under my wedding dress to sort out the bustle and through it all, her amazing, warm, welcoming smile and laugh that let me know I was loved. She will be very missed ❤️

She was my mentor and my friend. She helped framed and formed my life and decisions I could never thank Her enough. She was very special to the world is not a nice place without her.
Tom and I shared some special memories together with Fred  and Judy. We met for a skiing weekend at Sugarbush when we were newly married. I recall we stayed At a lodge nearby, did some good skiing and enjoyed some wine and spirits with Fred and Judy.   I think we stayed in a bunk bed dormer and got up early to ski and then joined together to enjoy some wine.  They were great fun, spirited and enjoying life together. Miss them both.
Judy has been a part of my life for my entire life. I was lucky enough to grow up right next door to her. Wendy and Steven were like siblings to my brother and sister and I, and Judy was more like family than just a neighbor. She even took me and my brother on our first ever trip to Disney World - a wonderful, crazy, inter-family, multigenerational trip that is truly a foundational memory… She introduced me to theater and did not mind at all when Steven and I played the soundtrack to Cats for hours on end, climbing all over the furniture as we acted the whole thing out… As a shy and bookish little girl, I was in awe of her joyful and generous spirit and her huge circle of friends. I loved her very much and will treasure my memories of her forever.

I met Judy when she married my uncle Fred, Wendy’s father. Through them I met and married my husband of almost 57 years. I also worked with Judy in Marlboro’s Youth Theatre and a camp for handicapped children. She remains forever in my heart.
In response to "How did you first meet Judy?"
I have no words.  Judy was like a second mother growing up.  I spent so much time with her and Wendy, they are both deeply ingrained in my childhood memories. ❤️
