Judith Ann's obituary
Judy (Stepnowski) D’Amato, 84 of Uncasville, CT
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Survived by her husband Donald of Uncasville, CT, her children, April D’Amato (David Freedman) of New London, CT, Randy D’Amato (Robin Raiano) and grandchildren Elesha D’Amato (Eddie Rivera) of Wallingford, CT, Katie D’Amato (Jacob Gibilisco) of Sidney, ME and Logan Solomon of Wallingford, CT. Predeceased by her parents, Edward Stepnowski and Carmella Lombardi, and her sons Jeffrey D’Amato and Dean Edward D'Amato.
She found her greatest joy in being surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren, whether through casual gatherings, shared activities or holiday celebrations. By consistently placing others’ needs before her own, Judy demonstrated her unwavering commitment to her family and her friends. She was a friend to everyone, and touched many lives with her loving presence, thoughtfulness and kindness. In her free time, she could be found cooking, baking , knitting and crocheting something for everyone. And of course, always saying a novena for someone's healing, someone's needs. She had unwavering faith in God, the saints and angels.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10:30am at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 70 West Main Street, Baltic, CT.
In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to the fundraiser to help our family pay for funeral expenses, which may be sent to Donald D'Amato directly or use the fundraiser page here. Or you may wish to donate to an organization that helped our mother get a wheelchair when she had difficulty with her insurance: Please donate to The Willimantic Lions with "Help Lift Love" as the memo in Judy's name. PO Box 512, Willimantic, CT 06226.
We thank you.
