Dr Joseph M. Charles Jr.. Joe, as he is affectionately known, passed peacefully in his sleep on Saturday May 7th 2022.

Joe was born on St Thomas on July 2nd 1965 where he attended the Apostolic Faith School, Peace Corps Elementary, and Ivanna Eudora Kean High School (1982).

He left the island at the age of 17 to pursue his education at Michigan State University where he earned a bachelor's degree, and a MD in 1997. Joe Practiced as an OB/GYN in Lake City, Florida and Grants, NM over the last 25 years.

He is mourned by his wife Joslyn Vanterpool-Charles, Children, Trey and Jade Charles Parents  Mr Joseph M. Charles Sr. And Ruth (Doslyn) Charles, siblings Donald “Smokey” Charles(Kellie), David S. Charles(Freda), Sheri Charles Rogers (Dale), and Kathy Charles(Chris Lewless).

Also left to cherish his memories are Parents -In-Law Eric and Honoria Vanterpool, Brother/Sisters-in-Laws , Dale, Jacqueline Vanterpool, Annie Trish Kline (Joseph), Joycelyn Vanterpool, and Erika Vanterpool (Sidney Lattimore), Special Cousin Debra Sharpe, Aunt Dorcas Charles, Best friend Courtney Shelton, along with aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and many close friends whom he cherished daily.
