My sincerest condolences Mirakovits Family. The death of a loved one is extremely painful. It’s unfair and takes away the people we love the most. Please know that during such a difficult time, you are not alone. Our father and God Jehovah is with you and your family. Psalm 34:18 says “[He] is close to the broken-hearted.” Know that he yearns to bring them back to life (Job 14:15). And soon he will bring a resurrection, John 5:28,29 says “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” May this promise give you hope and endurance to face the future with confidence.

Joe Mirakovits was a shining example of a servant leader, following the model of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Joe had a gift to make others feel special, valued, and loved. He is the type of man that makes the world a better place. He was humble, hardworking, helpful, and honorable. He cared for his lovely wife, Ellen, his incredible kids, his extended family, his church family, his friends, his colleagues, and his community with deep, sincere Love and Care.

I never saw Joe display anything but Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Empathy, and willingness to Help. Love was definitely a verb to Joe whether it was stacking chairs and cleaning up after an HCA event, running the sound for a friend’s band or for a fundraising concert, restoring and improving Yellow Daisy, or doing literally Anything needed. Joe and the entire Mirakovits family were cornerstones to the growth and success of Horizon Christian Academy. They exemplified what it means to be engaged in Community!

I will never forget the example that Joe Mirakovits modeled with bountiful fruit of the Spirit. It is our responsibility to embrace that model and legacy.

If there is Anything that Melissa and I can do to support you Ellen, Lauren, Josef, and Adam, please let us know. We lose Joe in this life which is fleeting But we will be reunited with him one day in the Glory of our God in Eternity.

May God Bless Each of You Abundantly.

It’s hard to describe, but th…
It’s hard to describe, but the word holds a little bit less now that it’s a world without Joe. He will be missed greatly. So grateful for the Hope of Jesus
Over this last week I have tried to think of what my favorite memory is with Joe. There are so many that come to mind. He was so full of life and love. There was no stranger to Joe. If there is a will there is a way. His heart was full of love,  compassion, service, laughter, and above all else humble. Joe was truly one of a kind. His presence will forever be missed. I know laying electrical this past six gap I felt him guiding me in spirit. I pray I did you proud Joe. I am forever grateful to have called you not just a friend but family. I will see you again as we walk the streets of Gold in Heaven.
I am so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Joe that I will never forget. My thoughts are with you during this sad time.
My heart is aching for the entire Mirakovitz family. From the first day I met Joe he was the most caring, “would do anything for anyone” kind of guy! When I moved into the Yellow Daisy b&b apartment he had just redone the entire space and I could tell how meticulously he worked to make sure everything was PERFECT! He ended every conversation with “Let me know if you need anything”! Joe and Ellen welcomed me in and provided such a beautiful home for me to live in. Best landlords ever! Joe’s positive attitude made an impression on me several times. At one point there was a big leak in the basement and since I was away a lot of my furniture and items got damaged. I don’t think Joe could have apologized more if he tried! (Even though he wasn’t at fault at all!!!) He and Ellen let me stay in one of the gorgeous b&b rooms and graciously replaced every single damaged item. I was so impressed with their kindness and generosity. A few years later my husband and I got to stay as guests in the b&b and I felt like I was coming home! My husband and I had a quick courthouse wedding while I lived at the b&b b cause he was going on a military rotation and we took “wedding pictures” on the porch of the b&b. I love those photos so much! We sat on a porch swing I saw Ellen and Joe sitting on several nights enjoying a glass of wine relaxing and laughing together. I remember one evening the whole family was playing a card game of some sort and everyone was laughing and just having the best time. It was really sweet to see Joe, Ellen and their kids having so much fun together. Ellen, I wish I could give you a huge hug right now. You, Joe and your family are in my prayers! Thank you all for all the kindness you showed me when I was the luckiest girl in Dahlonega living in the yellow daisy b&b!
I'm very sorry to say I didn't know him very well but when I did meet him he was a very sweet and caring person he also raised an amazing girl my love and prayers go out to the whole family love always
