Hi there, my name is Kira Jones, and my husband, Jake and I are organizing this fundraiser to help support one of my dearest friends during an unimaginably difficult time. As many of you may know, Shelby and and Jordan had their lives turned upside down in October of 2021 when Jordan was in a tragic car accident. This accident left him paralyzed as a quadriplegic, and that changed their way of life. Over the past year and eight months, Shelby and Jordan showed an unbelievable amount of courage, strength, perseverance, and above all else, love, as they found their new normal. No matter what curveball or hurdle presented itself, they handled it head-on and together. Unfortunately, on June 26th, Jordan was taken from this world far too soon due to a complication from his spinal cord injury.
Honestly, we are still in shock from this news. It's hard to imagine this world without Jordan and his infectious laugh, his giant, memorable personality, and of course his pure love for his family, friends, and above all else, Shelby. It is beyond impossible to even imagine what she is feeling, but I am sure that we are not alone in wanting to find a way to help.
With that, we wanted to set up this page to not only raise funds to help support Jordan's memorial service, but also to help support Shelby during this devastating time. Jordan was so proud of the home they bought together and started renovating to fit his new needs. We know that he would want to make sure that Shelby had as much time in their home as possible to focus on her healing, and to figure out what's next.
