I'm so grateful for our brief yet wonderful friendship.  I met John at the Rock Steady Boxing class.  He was such an inspiration to me.  God's Speed my friend!  Larry Wagner

Hey Pat ,

Sheppy always  knew how to put a smile to on my  face . He is the sweetest man and the strongest fighter.  His personality could light up the room. The gym still isn't the same without  him. I know he is still boxing and showing up every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday . He will always be one of my  favorite people  to come to RSB.  For the short time I knew you, Sheppy your love will last a lifetime in my heart. ❤️ 💙   Love always  Coach AJ

I was very sorry to hear about John's passing. He was such a bright light, full of joy and it made my day to see him in class.   When I think of him, I think about his amazing spirit and those hard right crosses.  All it took was for me to say,  “Shep, put a little more into that left!” and boom! He was all in! I have such fond memories of him and will truly those bright eyes.   Much love Shep!

We met John "Sheppy" Sheppard when we began as members at Rock Steady Boxing. John was (is) such a gentleman. Such a warm heart and sweet smile. He presence always made things a little more calm before, during, and after classes. Even during the last sessions at the gym, Sheppy continued to smile and give it everything he had. John is, and always will be, such an inspiration to us all. He is our Storm Chaser.

Count down to zero. He is our Hero. Everybody's crazy about the Sheppy man!

We will see you soon, Pat. Sheppy's legacy will live on in Tim as he practices standing up straight against the wall while waiting for our "coaches meetings" to end.

My favorite memory with John was doing the stroll together at Rock Steady Boxing. His face was full of delight and joy. I felt the same and am honored that I got to share that moment with him

Dear Pat, I  grieve with you in the loss of John. Looking at the pictures I can see a man whose life was full of adventure, travel and great love for you and your family. I’ll miss him and his beautiful smile and joyful heart ❤️

There are no words to ease the pain you are all having to go through. Loving someone so special comes with pain unlike any other. All I know for certain is that you were,  and will always be blessed with  every gift he shared , every heart he calmed and every meaningful smile he smiles, and so will everyone who knew John.  I’ve never met a finer person and I count myself blessed to have had him in my life. I Love  all of you !!
It was always consistently peaceful and
joyful whenever in the presence of my brother in-law. He was what we all could only hope to be like, calm, compassionate, thoughtful patient, joyful , loving, peaceful, and kind. From the first time I met John until the last day we were together with family In a restaurant on the Hudson River the kindness and Joy never wavered. I’ll never forget how he made me feel that day .He was the birth brother I never had. He was the light at the end of a tunnel, He was this and so much more! I Love you John!
