John O. Pujols (born Joan Oscar Pujols), 44, passed away in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on March 4, 1981, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and immigrated with his father to the United States in 1993. John joined the U.S. Navy right after high school, serving proudly until 2004 aboard the USS Detroit (AOE-4) before its decommission, and receiving the National Defense Service Medal.
