John's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Fuller, a man of unrivaled spirit and zest for life, who was born on July 4, 1954, and left us too soon on December 1, 2023. John is survived by his wife, Wendy, and their children and grandchildren: Jillian and Craig Burshek, Colin Fuller, Reed Fuller, Kirra Fuller, Nevaeh Fuller, and Benjamin and Thomas Burshek. John was a tremendous presence in all our lives; his laughter and light continue to echo in our memories, a testament to his unforgettable character.
John was a multifaceted individual whose personality was an inviting blend of fun-loving, clever, humorous, energetic, and spirited elements. He lived fearlessly, with a boldness and bravery that inspired those around him. His passion for life was infectious, and he spread joy and motivation wherever he went.
Never one to shy away from imparting his wisdom, John believed strongly in the power of perseverance, the importance of investing in others, and that one's own needs should always be secondary to the care of others. These lessons, shared with love and sincerity, will continue to guide us in his absence.
While John had many remarkable achievements, he often cited his family and his non-profit organization, The Honor Crew, as his greatest accomplishments. His family was his fortress of love and support, while The Honor Crew reflected his unwavering commitment to service and generosity, which began for John as young man serving in the US Navy. He was proud of his military service throughout his entire life and this motivated him to continue to serve those who protect our country through his non-profit. John was also dedicated to his post as "popcorn man" on Sunday mornings at his church, Henderson Hills. He served in the children's ministry for many, many years with a smile on face and a heart to mirror Jesus.
John leaves behind a legacy of generosity and kindness, a testament to his commitment to helping those in need. His laughter, which could light up any room, will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. He filled our hearts with love and our lives with brightness, a warmth that will linger in our memories.
