I was always touched by your warmth and openness and miss your presence even as the Therapy Network community is more disperse now.

Dear John,
You are so missed by me and I know by so many others. Each with our own personal memories and yet I am sure we share the experience of you in similar ways. Your open warm spirit is what comes to mind first. That is what I felt on first meeting you through Lourdes, and as I had the privilege of getting to know you over the years that warmth only grew. I was so touched and struck by the fact that you were always so welcoming and kind and interested in all of Lourdes’s friends. Your presence and thoughtful conversation did not go unnoticed and made visits to your home a safe place to land. Both you and Lourdes offered up a haven of friendship and hospitality. I hold close to my heart the many intelligent in depth conversations, the laughter and the special bottles of Pinot Noir!
Love to you always,
Rebecca

I knew John through Lourdes. It was lovely to see their relationship develop into such a comfortable shared life. John was 'all in' on life. Peace to all who knew and loved him.

I admire John for the kindness and love he showed to everyone, especially to Lourdes. He was always interested in what I had to say, and was enjoyable to talk to. He is a beautiful soul force, still remembered and loved.

Enjoyed many outings with John at many golf courses and sharing wine tasting after a round. He was a great friend.

We were vacationing in France when we saw the news of John's passing. A terrible blow.
My wife Nancy and I knew John from golfing at Gleneagles, and trips to Desert Mountain, for big fun golf events.
As time went on, I invited John to play in a charity events sponsored by a good a good friend, and in the last event, and the last time I saw John, he won a closest to the hole prize of a new golf bag and a skin. ( 160 yards, John's tee shot was less than 4 feet.)
We will be in Canada at the time of John's celebration, so will not be able to attend.
John, you're a great guy, and we love you.

I have known John (as well as his family) since the 6th grade when we became neighbors on Willow Road in Riverside CT. Later we were also classmates at Pomfret School. And over the years we stayed in touch though on opposite coasts. I will always remember John's patient, inquisitive, and warm demeanor. My heart goes out to Lourdes, Lela, Steve, and the rest of the family. I'm sorry I will miss the celebration of life.

I said it was 2004, but frankly I have no idea...seems like a million years ago! Anywaym it is unusual to be "set up" on a 'date' by your psychoanalyst, but that's just what Joe Weiss, MD did with me and John. He treated me and supervised John and somehow decided it'd be good for both of us if we met and played golf together. And that's just what we did....so many many memorable rounds, from Gleneagles in S.F. (which I called the "dog track"), to tournaments at Desert Mountain--he was my friend and inspiration and I simply cannot believe he is gone.
