Jeffrey Lynn Pease, age 66, passed away on March 31, 2025, in San Diego, California. He was born on March 9, 1959, in La Porte, Indiana.

Jeff was known for his warm heart, sense of humor, and deep love for his family and friends. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. His life was filled with both challenges and love, and through it all, he remained resilient and caring.

He is preceded in death by his beloved sons, Jason and Joshua; his grandparents, LeRoy and Marie Pease, and Lawrence and Virginia Freese; uncles Michael and Tom Pease; his ex-wife, Connie; and his faithful therapy dog, Max.

Jeff is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Daniel English; his daughter, Rebecca Perrin; and his son, Ted Gattis. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Nathen and Joelle McDaniel; his parents, Lynn and Marjorie Pease; his siblings, Joan and Eric Nager, Jacqueline and Bob Chymbur, and Andrew and Cynthia Pease/Paes; his uncle, Tom Freese; aunt, Marti Gearheart; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is also remembered by Tristen Gattis, Jeff’s longtime best friend and companion through many years, and by his loyal dog, Buddy, who never left his side.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Hope Church San Diego, located at 5651 Water Street, La Mesa, CA. For those unable to attend in person, the celebration service will be live streamed. And for those in the Chilhowie, VA area, you’re invited to join us to watch the live stream at the Chilhowie Library, 807 Chilhowie Street, beginning at 3:00 PM EST.

Jeff’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
