Background
My dad led a life of sobriety. He believed in helping others find their path to sobriety. While he was in Virgina, he was associated with the Northern Appalachian Teen Challenge. Both him, and his dog buddy, brought joy to the people that were in the program. "Northern Appalachian Teen Challenge offers support and spiritual formation based on biblical principles. The program inspires self-discipline, responsible decision-making, social and spiritual accountability. We believe there is hope even when everything else says 'just give up' " (www.wvteenchallenge.com)
