Our hearts are heavy as we come to terms with the tragic loss of Jason Pearce, an adored father, clever problem solver, and adventurous soul. He was involved in an unfortunate cycling accident that claimed his life far too soon. He passed away peacefully with his children by his side on July 22, 2023 and now joins his parents, Cecile and William Pearce, who passed before him.

Jason was passionate, curious, funny and creative. He loved music, working on his many cars, being out in nature, joking around, building clever inventions, and learning as much as he could.

Jason leaves behind his partner Debra O'Rourke, his children Amy Pearce and Tyler (Kim) Pearce, his brothers Shawn (Liliana) Pearce and William Pearce, his niece Camila Pearce, his nephews Mateo Pearce, Tanu Huff and Koome Huff, and the mother of his children Gloria Pearce. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the kind medical staff who cared for Jason.

Deb will miss Jason’s sense of adventure, his caring and compassionate soul, dancing together in front of the fireplace and pizza competitions on New Year’s Eve. Tyler will miss his animated stories and hearing all about his latest DIY project or crafty life hack. Amy will miss his laughter, ice cream dates, boat rides, and their friendship.

As we say our goodbyes, may we honour his memory by living life for the present, cherishing our loved ones, and being a little silly every once in a while.

Friends and family are welcome to join a Celebration of Life service and reception starting at 2:30pm on Sunday, September 17th (his birthday) at the RCAFA Wing Cornwall (240 Water St W, Cornwall, ON).
