So sorry to hear about Irene's passing. Eugene thank you so much for connecting Irene with our mom Lan-Fun recently. I fondly remember spending time with "Auntie Irene" when we were growing up. A very small memory: At a visit to y'alls home, Irene served a battered fried fish that was delicious. It was through that meal I was introduced to the heavenly gustatory experience known as mayonnaise! Thank you Auntie Irene for that and for all the times we gathered, which were too few. You are in our hearts.
It is with great sadness that I read that Irene had passed. My deepest and heartfelt sympathy and prayers go to you and your family. Irene and I met in Shore Music Educators Association at least 30 years ago and have kept in touch ever since. She was such a giving and loving person, always interested in what the other person was doing and very enthusiastic and encouraging. Even though we hadn't seen each other in person all of those years, our friendship grew and was such a blessing. I'm very honored to be called her friend. May God give you peace and strength during this difficult time.
Irene was such a wonderful person. We met her as she was a friend of Simone Spaulding’s . I remember spending time with them in Saratoga Springs. Irene was always upbeat, energetic and engaging to be with. Our condolences ( Sharon Spaulding) are sincerely sent to her family! Irene was one of a kind and a blessing to have known. She will be surely missed!
