Gary had, and I believe still has, an everlasting love for his close family and friends. You all mean absolutely everything to him. He was even kind to compete strangers. We were once at a bar in Finland and some random (and in my opinion rather annoying) guy kept saying how much he liked his Kaapo Kakko Rangers shirt. Gary quite literally gave him the shirt off his back. He also truly loved his animals... the cats and later on the horses, and I know they loved him too.

Simply put, Gary was like another brother to me. From endless days filled with youthful fun and mischief to getting acquainted with the harsh realities of adulthood, Gary and I had each other's back the whole way. He was always there when I needed him and always had a satirical yet poignant way of picking me up. The crater that this loss leaves behind is overwhelming, not just for me, but for everyone who knew Gary. He was an incredibly genuine, caring, loyal, witty, funny, and brutally honest guy who brightened up the lives of all he met.
Gary,
I love you brother, and I always will. Thankfully, I have tons of precious memories and constant references to keep your friendship with me forever. Until we meet again, rest in peace.
Love,
Paul

Gary was a brilliant spark in our lives. I first encountered him during our early days with ECI, where his infectious personality and quick wit instantly lit up the room. It was no surprise when his name landed back on my desk later; choosing him was an absolute no-brainer.
Over the past few years, I had the pleasure of working alongside him, and his resilience always shone through, even amidst his personal challenges. He had a unique way of making us laugh, often turning the most mundane moments into memorable ones. I can still hear him cracking jokes that made us forget our stress, making even the toughest days feel lighter.
While he has left us far too soon, I find comfort in knowing that his spirit and humor will linger in our memories. Gary, you will be missed deeply, my friend. I hope you've found a place of peace and calm, where the laughter continues and the love we shared lives on. Thank you for being the wonderful person you were!

Very sorry to hear this, only met Gary for the first time at Seana’s wedding. George Kirk always spoke highly of him. RIP 🌺

Gary, the most magnificent bastard I’ve ever met.
One moment, he’s yelling at me, the next, he’s hugging me because I’m being emotional. He’s been there for me in some of my darkest moments, a rock, a true friend. He’s also been the first one to call me out on my bullshit! A true brother in all senses of the word.
I say these things in the present tense because I still hear the guy yelling at me or laughing at some stupid Grandma’s Boy reference. Sitting there, watching RiffTrax or some obscure horror movie we found, he always had some ridiculous comment that would make you choke with laughter. I could not ask for a better cohort.
Beyond his gruff exterior, Gary always had a rare charm that amazed me. The most eloquent and dashing soul that could befriend the entire room. His charisma was astounding, and I will always miss it but never forget. The impression that he’s made will be felt forever…
To quote Charles Bukowski -
“What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.”
Boy did he…
Love you brother

At my wedding, I couldn’t get a drink and I was coming up to the part I was dreading the most: first dances (not my thing, anxiety galore). So Gary runs off and comes back, with a drink in hand (Jameson & Ginger - both our faves), I start to down it to get the courage to get out. He says “umm you might want to slow down, I got you a quad”. It’s the first and last quad Jameson and Ginger I’ve ever had 😂 but it saved my ass!
