Gary was very simply the best friend and brother anyone could ask for. He was a loyal, selfless & cranky, old soul who shared so many incredible experiences with his chosen family.

While Gary was raised mainly by his grandparents, he was particularly close to his grandmother, Claire, and his loving sister, Seana. His upbringing wasn't easy, but through kindness, hard work, stubborn independence, and a unique brand of street smarts, he …

It's no secret that Gary's friends were his chosen family. Hearing from so many of you has made this tremendous loss easier to bear and I urge you to please continue to share your memories with him and photos of him here.

I also ask that you please refrain from sharing the details on social media if at all possible and instead distribute this information person to person via text/email only.

I look forward to seeing you all at his Memorial Gathering in May or his 40th Birthday Meetup in June - or both!

Gary will be missed more than he will ever know but I'm confident that his legacy of love and friendship will never fade.
