Garrett Peel—a remarkable person, a dear friend, and a soul whose light left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege to know him.

I first met Garrett in January 2024, and from that very first moment, we became instant friends. That was Garrett’s gift—he had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. His presence was warm, his mind sharp, and his heart endlessly generous.

Garrett was one of those rare individuals who carried both brilliance and compassion in equal measure. He had a mind that could master complexity—whether in the halls of government or the practice of medicine—but he never lost sight of the human beings at the center of it all. For him, service wasn’t just a profession. It was a calling. A way of life.

He believed deeply in the potential of public service to make lives better, and he saw medicine not only as science but as a sacred trust. Whether he was advocating for others in a policy setting or offering care and comfort in a clinical one, Garrett was guided by a core belief: that people matter. Every single one of them.

And he lived that belief every day.

Garrett had ambition—not for power, but for purpose. He wanted to make a difference. And he did. His impact will ripple outward through every life he touched, every friend he supported, and every system he sought to make just a little more humane.

Losing Garrett is a sorrow we each carry differently, but what unites us is the profound gratitude we feel for having known him. He was more than a friend—he was an inspiration. A constant reminder that intellect means little without empathy, and that the best kind of leadership begins with love.

Garrett Peel will be missed beyond words and remembered beyond measure.

But in our grief, let us also honor his legacy by living as he did—with heart, with purpose, and with a belief that we are here to serve something greater than ourselves.

Rest well, Garrett. You gave the world your best. And we are all better for it.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Peel at USA Clinics Group.  He touched countless lives with wisdom, kindness, and unwavering care.

May his legacy continue to inspire, and may peace and comfort surround all who mourn his loss.

Medical Assistant told Dr Peel that she had slipped on a small puddle of water in the kitchen. Dr Peel pulled the refrigerator forwards, later lying on the floor , he found the water line which was leaking. Truly a Renaissance man, a humble scholar, and a great physician.
