I went to elementary and high school with Gail.  We weren’t close friends then, but I wish we had been because, when the world changed due to Covid, and school friends started having Zoom meetings, we met again and  I learned what an amazing, accomplished woman she was.  She had a way of explaining world events coherently and succinctly.  And she was funny!  I learned a great deal from her.  I admired her courage throughout this last cancer battle.  I will miss her and will never forget her.  She left her footprints on my heart.
