Gail was one of the loveliest people with whom I ever worked. She always had great ideas and was willing to work with all kinds of partners organizations and companies to advance caregiving. The world was a better place because of Gail.
Just moved from Belgium to the US Gail gave me the opportunity to work a the National Alliance for Caregiving. I admire her for that, to give me chances and opportunities. We loved to lunch together and talk about how life is in Belgium. I introduced her to my visiting family and everybody liked her immediately. I feel very sorry to hear that Gail passed away. I learned so much from her. Greetings from Belgium , Stien Vandierendonck
Gail was such a fixture in the caregiving landscape. For those of us who joined the caregiving world, so much of what we learned about caregiving came from Gail. She will always be a guiding star for those who care about caregiving.
To Gail’s family – my thoughts are with you. Words at times like this are difficult to come by and seem insufficient. I will miss Gail’s friendship, humor and counsel. I met Gail almost 25 years ago when I was serving as a volunteer advocate with a nonprofit as my caregiving journey with my mother was coming to an end. Family caregivers across our country and beyond have and continue to benefit from Gail’s passion and leadership to make a true difference. Many people have benefitted from the research, coalition building, outreach and advocacy of the National Alliance for Caregiving. More words and memories will come to mind over time. Gail you will be missed, eternal rest.
