Frank's obituary
THIS WEBSITE IS A TRIBUTE TO FRANK AND IS IN PLACE OF A SERVICE:
WHO WAS FRANK:
• First and foremost, a man who had a very personal relationship with God
• A VERY CLOSE second - a man wholly committed to his wife and their marriage of 67 years. (Frank and Audrey celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary just days before dad passed. The picture of the two of them was taken at that celebration.)
• Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Friend, Teacher, Mentor
• Bible study teacher for 65+ years. He was so dedicated to teaching the word of God that he studied ancient Greek to make sure he understood the original intent.
• Pilot – he flew himself and Audrey to NC from NJ for their move to live with his daughter and son-law. He and Simeon had a standing flying date every Saturday for years.
• Iron Worker, Radio Control Airplane Guru
• Quick-witted and ALWAYS ready with a joke
• Lover of music, especially Big Band
• Played the guitar and harmonica and wished his entire life that he could have played the piano
• Inventor and tinkerer who enjoyed creating and building things in his “barn” machine shop
WHO WAS DAD TO ME by Frank’s daughter Ginia:
• Someone who evolved over time and showed me just what God can do in a life when desired
• Someone I had lively and deep conversations with
• A father I remember smiling and doing a silly dance every time one of his favorite songs was playing – maybe something from the Ink Spots
• A music lover who played harmonica and guitar
• A super roller skater who held me in front of him while we whizzed around the rink, swerving in and out around other skaters
• The person I called in a true crisis
• An old man who trusted me implicitly to do the best I could to care for him and mom and told me daily how much he appreciated me

ABOUT THE LASTING TRIBUTE TO FRANK:
My parents moved to NC to live in our home for 4 years. In the last few months, their needs were greater than could be met in a home setting. Rose Hill has been a safe place for them that could meet their growing needs. In the time that my parents have been at Rose Hill, I have been touched by the care and genuine love they have shown Mom and Dad.
A piano will be a lasting tribute to Frank that can be enjoyed by Rose Hill residents.
How fitting that the tribute is a piano. You all know that his #1 focus and priority was his wife Audrey. He would be so happy to know that the love of his life will now have access to a good piano. Even in his passing, taking care of Audrey is still the focus.
