I met Frank when I was young, he & my brother Jay Lupetin became friends going to St Anne’s School. I knew Frank as Zoltan & I thought that was the coolest name. He was at our home often, smiling , polite & friendly. I saw Frank a few years back playing in Ossining, he was still the Zolton I remembered. May you rest peacefully & keep on playing. With love Lynn Lupetin Gray
I loved the fact that Frank was a present Dad! When the kids were young it was Frank who dropped them off or picked up for play dates. When they got a little older it was Frank’s house where they all gathered. He taught them about music, he played with them. He encouraged them. He listened to them. How many other parents would let a young kids band rehearse in their house, lol. Frank was the parent at school functions making sure the kids had what they needed. Settings up sound. Helping with the lights. The kids knew they could go to Frank. I will always appreciate how he took care of, not just his own kids, but mine as well as others. I loved his wit and his stories and his friendship. It was a pleasure knowing him and he will be missed. Rest in Peace Frank. The world was a better place with you in it .
Frank was just always one of the good guys! He was smart. He was humble. He always greeted everyone with an open, loving heart, and genuinely brought positive energy to every situation, hang or jam that I can remember ever sharing with him over the past almost 60 years. There were some long gaps at times when we didn’t see each other, but the next time we did, we just picked up where we left off, as if no time had passed at all. It always felt comfortable and natural like that with Frank. We’ve lost one of the really good ones, and like so many others who were blessed to know him, I will miss him dearly.
