Francis's obituary
Frank passed away at the age of 69 years young in Lake Havasu, Arizona after boating on his beloved "My Blue Heaven." He had been enjoying his yearly ‘boys boating weekend’ when he suffered a sudden cardiac episode.
He was born the oldest of four children in Indianapolis, Indiana. The family migrated to the west coast when Frank was a toddler as his father pursued his aeronautical engineering career. His mother busied herself with raising four young children close in age, and eventually pursued a career in teaching including teaching music. They raised their family in the Los Angeles suburb of Woodland Hills, CA.
Graduating from the University of San Diego in 1974, he spent over 40 years in the IT industry working for companies such as IBM, Microsoft, SHI and several others. Meeting his wife, Lucille in 1976, they were married for 44 years.
He was a devoted father & husband who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life - - chatting with friends, boating, BBQing, and mixing a mean margarita. He possessed an easy ability to connect with people. He also enjoyed all aspects of music having played the guitar most of his adult life and was pretty much a walking encyclopedia of all types of music.
He is predeceased by his father, Francis and brother, Stephen. His life will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Lucille; daughters Christina McCaffrey and Kathryn Poolos; granddaughter, Clara; sons-in-law Joe McCaffrey and John Poolos; sister & brother in law, Dan and Kathryn Lambros; his mother, Mary Eleanor; sister, Mary Ann and brother, Chris. He is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews: Marisa Zechlin, Anna Endter, Tyler and Ryan Cartaino, Aidan and Joshua Lambros, William and James Endter, and Teagan Zechlin.
