Elias Nahas, 78, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, at Toronto General Hospital, on January 7th, 2023, after many health complications from Leukemia. 

Elias was born in Haifa, Palestine, on April 28th, 1944 to Ratiba (Nee Ayoub) and Magid Nahas. He is pre-deceased by his parents and his sister Abla Khoury and is survived by his siblings Laila and George. He is survived by Marie Nahas, and his children: Marc, (Kimia), Muriel (Mano) and Nathalie (Matthew) and his six grandchildren.

Elias started his career at a young age at TMA, in Beirut, Lebanon. He later moved to Bahrain and then started his own business in the construction trade in Kuwait prior to immigrating with his family to Toronto, Canada in 1989. He enjoyed travel and has had the opportunity to visit many countries including Egypt, England, Greece, Italy, Singapore, Japan, Korea, the Philippines and Dubai.

After retiring in 2005, Elias enjoyed spending time with his family and more importantly his 6 grandchildren, George, Kayla, Amar, Akhil, Josephine and Eloise whom he loved dearly.

Elias will be forever missed by his family and friends.

Funeral Arrangements:

The funeral service will be held at St. Bonaventure’s Church (1300 Leslie St, North York, ON M3C 2K9) on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 11:00 a.m – 11:45 a.m.,  followed by a Celebration of Life and reception, from 11:45 a.m-3:30 p.m in the Parish Centre.
