Personal note from Antonia + Ananda

Thank you for visiting. This space is to share memories, stories, "Ed-isms" and photos to celebrate and honor our dear friend, teacher, mentor, fellow jokester, ponderer, lover of life: Ed. We will continue to post updates here.

Please continue to post them in the Memories tab. Ed lived an incredible life and this is just the beginning. The red thread continues...

Updates

Update from Sept. 20, 2025

Save the date! The Hastings Public Library is unveiling a new mural during the dedication of their children’s book room to Ed on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025 at the Hastings Public Library 1PM - 5PM.

Ed’s illustrations will be printed on vinyl and installed on the ceiling of the room. Antonia is also making a neon sign to announce the entryway. This free, family-friendly event will feature activities for children, including art projects, storytime, and a scavenger hunt. We invite you to join us in celebrating Ed’s legacy and sharing his work with the next generation.

We hope to see you there! Feel free to spread the word and invite others. Stay tuned for more updates as the event approaches!

Update from Nov. 5, 2024

A little over one year later, Ed's book Bright World (亮世界) has been published in China. It is a beautiful book (accordion style) about nightfall into the morning. The last line "My world is bright again." is fitting as the story Ed had just completed before he passed.

We hope to have this book published in English in the US one day. Stay tuned for updates as we are excited to announce more upcoming legacy projects in 2025!

Where: Whitman Street + Villard Avenue in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY
When: Friday 4/12, Saturday 4/13, Sunday 4/14
Time: 10am - 6pm

Please join us and help spread the word with any locals who may be interested in coming by.

Update from Dec. 16, 2023

Update from Dec. 6, 2023

Thank you all who joined us on Sunday, near and far (in any capacity). This event is certainly not the first nor the last time to celebrate Ed. We are grateful to share these moments with you all and for the tremendous support we’ve received, without which, none of this is possible. We’ve loved all the shared memories and photos and we will keep this space alive, so please keep them coming, and we’ll continue to share any updates from our end here as well.

We know there was an audio issue with the beginning of the speaker portion of the live stream and are working to patch the audio and restore that missing piece to the file. Once we have it in the coming weeks, we will post the full recorded event, for anyone who missed it, wants to hear the missing portion, or wishes to come back to re-watch in the future.
