It took some time to absorb all of this..., but with prayer and reflection, it is beginning to sink in.  With the distance between us, Jane and I did not get to know Drew as intimately as we would have liked to.  But from everything I have been told, he was an amazing young man with incredible talents and varied abilities.  He will be deeply missed by those who knew him best and our hearts go out to the entire Nixon/Isaac families that have been devastated by this sad and tragic news.  Our prayers are for them all..., that the Lord will wrap His arms around each of you in your quiet times, your reflective times, and draw you ever closer to Him.  His ways are far above our ways and are unsearchable, but one thing is sure..., He loves us all with a deep love which he proved through the sacrifice of His own son, Jesus Christ.  Let that love wrap around you in your ongoing moments of sadness and grief.  Know that we are praying for you all during this time.

Dear Tom and Maggie,

I'm so sorry to hear the news of your son.  I can't imagine the pain you're going through as parents, and hope that the memories from friends and family are helping.  I'm thinking of you during this time.
