Dorris's obituary
Dorris Jean Bradford, 89, of Las Vegas, went to heaven to be with her Lord on August 27, 2025 in Las Vegas.
Dorris was born in Los Angeles, California to Robert Ellison Lee Foster and Nelle Dorris Foster on June 1, 1936.
She attended West Phoenix High School and the University of Redlands before graduating from Stanford with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She was engaged to Gaylan Hugh Bradford on Christmas Day, 1957, and they married on August 1, 1958.

Dorris loved everything horse related - she and her husband Gaylan founded Bradford Foothill Arabians, where they bred, trained, and showed Arabian horses and were very involved in supporting local and national Arabian horse organizations. Many children learned how to ride from Dorris’ patient teaching.
Dorris and her husband were co-founders of Warm Springs Baptist Church (now Eastside Christian Church), one of the first churches in the southern Las Vegas valley. Dorris was recently an active member of Hope Church.
Dorris will be remembered by many for her hospitality, annual Christmas parties, and love of large family gatherings. Her beautiful, kind, positive, and loving spirit - she will be greatly missed.
