David “Crockett” Long, age 68, of Raleigh and Wilmington, passed away surrounded by his family at UNC Memorial Hospital on August 23, 2022.

He was born on April 4, 1954, to the late James Arthur Long and Anita Umstead Long. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, David Norman Long, Jr., his brothers James Alvis Long and Donald Keith Long, and his sister-in-law, Mary Anne Long.
