It is with an extremely heavy heart that I share that on Monday, July 24th, David, my brother, and Rachel, his wife, were interred with military honors at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. David passed away suddenly April 19th, and Rachel passed away on June 2nd after slipping into a coma on May 23rd. They leave behind their son, Nathaniel, who is autistic. The grief of their passing comes in waves that at times knocks me off my feet. The responsibility of honoring their lives has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. My solace is that they found love in each other and loved each other and Nathan deeply! May they now rest in peace.
