Background
Second Harvest Northern Lakes Backpack Program provides a solution to hunger for children on weekends. They secure easy-to-open, easy-to-prepare food with a balance of nutrition. Currently 1 in 10 of our neighbors in NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin don’t have enough to eat. Every $1 gift ensures 3 meals for Northland families, children and seniors.

Hartley Nature Center is dedicated to inspiring lifelong connections to nature through education, play and exploration. Donations would go towards a memorial bench for Cathie & Pokey, Nature Access Fund (which provides scholarship support), Park Stewardship Fund (tree planting, trail improvements, etc) and General Operations. Growing up in the Woodland neighborhood, the Trachsels see Hartley as an extension of their childhood.
