I have just recently heard this very sad news. This is a beautifully written honour to Cathy. I remember some great times in Kenogami with Cathy and all the McBean family. I’m so sorry to hear this. The pictures are great and truly tell Cathy’s story.

Cathy and the McBean family has not left my thoughts and heart since hearing of Cat's death.  The McBean's played a huge role in some of my happiest childhood memories hanging out in Swastika and in Kenogami.  I was a bit older than Scott, younger than my great friend Liz, and felt WAY younger than Cat - she was always so incredibly cool.   I remember endless games of Rumoli, playing 'world' on the beach, sauna's that resulted in skinny dipping off the dock, chasing fireflies and running with sparklers, and piling into the Winnebago to go to the pyjama party at Smitty's in King Kirkland.  But most of all I remember a big, incredible family who I love, loved hanging out with, and Cat was a huge part of that joie de vivre.  I haven't seen Cat in years, but she will live on in my fondest memories.  I hope she is at peace and send my thoughts, comfort and love to her family.  I'm sorry I can't be at the service but will be thinking of you all.
Cat invited me to her home to do spa facials. We had such a great day and she had a lovely home 💜 she was so supportive of my new venture. It wasn’t something I stuck with but I cherish the memories made with the people I connected with (Cat being one of them). I loved working with her in the ER too, where I first met Cat. Condolences to her family and friends.
Cat was a true force of nature. She was passionate about not only her work but life. We were very lucky to have her meet us in emerg countless times with Holly’s Nono. He adored her. She made sure we were all well taken care of. She was always so much fun when we saw her at family events. We are very sad and would like to extend our deepest sympathies to all who knew and loved her. Hugs XO
I knew Cathy over twenty years ago, but still remember her fierce, sometimes unpredictable independence, which I admired. That, combined with her caring kindness, particularly to the family she adored, made Cathy a truly unique spirit. My deepest condolences.
Our condolences to the McBean Family,  the obituary was beautifully written.  Catherine was obviously a lovely, accomplished lady.  Sincerely, Bev and Dave Butler
I met Cathy in her sister Elizabeth's home, she was out going and ready for an adventure.

It took me a couple of weeks to process the grim news of Cat`s passing but sadly it is what it is. Maureen and I remember fondly our almost yearly pre covid visits and enjoying Cathy`s hospitality on Sherobie Road. We would come up for ballgames, theatre, pride parades, Toronto island crawls or just crash there waiting for a flight and spent fun times in the backyard or around the kitchen table upstairs the usual gathering spots. Then there was also the summer Cat and a friend came down to our cottage on Buck Lake and stayed in our tent trailer behind the cabin a weekend our neighbors still talk about, She liked to make me cook when I stayed with her because I did a pretty good job of picking out all the minute parts of the egg she didn`t want cooked with it. Cat had called me what I now realize would have been just days before she passed to thank me for a xmas card I had sent and ask that we keep her in mind for any future trips. Sadly her demons got in the way of making this a reality because I can tell you it would have been epic. Condolence to the family and her friends a good soul gone way to soon. Keep the wine chilled Cat and I'll bring the eggs, see you when i get there

I first met Cathy in junior high school in Calgary.  Liz and I were the best of friends,  and I spent a lot of time at the McBeans.  Cathy threw THE BEST parties.  She was cheerful.  Colourful.  Inviting.  I last saw Cathy at Liz and Mike’s cottage- "Girls Rock Weekend".  It was a weekend to be remembered and probably some of it - to forget.....Oh my....we danced for hours well into the morning - a new form of break dancing.... and other dances I have no idea what they were! Cathy was the life of the party, and had us all set-up with party attire well in advance.

I have a saying on my piano- that’s very special to me: “Wherever you go, go with all your heart”.  I have been thinking of Cathy while looking at it.  I believe she gave with all of her heart, to all around her.   I’m sure she is continuing her journey, with her unique and extraordinary energy... and all her heart.

My love to the McBean family and all who cherished her.

Our deepest condolences to the Jeffery and McBean families.  Cathy was one in a million and will be missed by so many.  After a weekend stay at our previous home in Mono (the work weekend at Erica's new home in Orangeville), Barb gave me a beautiful black & white cardigan with kitties on it that she and Cat saw one day when shopping.  Cat thought it would be perfect for me, so they bought it.  Every time I wear it, I automatically think of Cat and her thoughtfulness and kindness.  Rest in piece dear Catherine.  The entire family are in our thoughts and prayers.

With much love, Diane and Dave Price, Wasaga Beach.

I spent many of my childhood days with Cathy and John on the lake, water skiing, boating sometimes getting in trouble lol and just hanging out, we lost touch over the years but I often look back to those care free summer days.  My condolences to the family may you all find strength in each other through this difficult time.

Saddened to hear of Cathy’s passing. I have wonderful memories of time spent with Cathy in our younger days and will always remember her big spirit and bigger heart. Condolences to the McBean family. God speed Cathy, see ya on the other side.
