Carrie's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Carolyn "Carrie" McGill. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her adoring family on October 23, 2024, following a courageous battle with glioblastoma brain cancer. Born on January 7, 1967, in Manchester, CT, Carrie lived a life vibrant with joy, boldness, and an adventurous spirit that was truly contagious. She lived fearlessly and made her mark on all those she knew, using every opportunity to experience the world and encourage others to do the same.
Carrie was beloved by many; a cherished wife to her husband, Michael; a nurturing mother to her three children and their partners, Chandler and Bailey, Aidan and Kaila, and Sedona and Anthony; a loving sister to Leanne, Crissie, and Pam and sister-in-law to Scott, Lindi, and John; a treasured daughter-in-law to Patricia McGill; and an outstanding friend to countless others. She joins her parents, William and Martha Adams, and father-in-law, James McGill, in passing.
She was an avid global traveler and fitness lover, and never passed up an opportunity to celebrate life with those she loved. She found joy in helping others, whether in her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse or while volunteering her time working with underprivileged children in Indonesia.
Undeniably, her greatest accomplishment resided in the deep relationships she built and maintained. Throughout her life, she brought all those she loved into lifelong friendships, leaving an everlasting mark on their hearts and lives. This legacy, one of living life to its fullest and never letting fear impede her path, is one that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
