I was so sorry to hear about Brooke's passing. She will always be a hero to me. I have never seen anyone who worked so hard helping others deal positively with her illness! She definitely lived life to the fullest, even through her treatments and her pain. I hope one day her girls know what a special person their mother was.

I met Brooke as a new nurse in the hospital and she was so kind and such a breath of fresh air in a stressful environment. She was the most genuine person I have ever met and her kindness and optimism is something I will cherish always even though we worked together for a short while. My prayers are with her family and friends and I know she is rejoicing in the presence of God and angels.

Brooke was a precious friend, and I’m thankful I knew her. She joined our Friday morning Bible study when my faith was particularly fragile. As I watched her lean on God and proclaim his goodness in the midst of her trials, God did a transformative work in me. Our Redeemer lives. She taught me that. She modeled that. One day we will all be gathered together. Hallelujah! What a Savior.
Brooke spent her years building up a community of strong, Godly women who will be there for Taylor and Finley in the years to come. She was amazing that way. I want you to know she also surrounded her girls with layers of women who will pray for them and their mentors from afar in the years to come. It’s a privilege to count myself in that group of women.
She loved you 3 fiercely. Matt, thank you for loving her so well. Girls, thank you for bringing her such joy. Praying for you all.

We worked together on the surgical unit several years ago, often collaborating together for patients’ needs before they went home. She could get anything done and always with the most peaceful smile and confident encouragement, even in the toughest situations. I learned so much from her then and through her posts with cancer treatments. What a strong and unwavering spirit she had. She loved Jesus and trusted Him. What an overcomer. Till we meet again in worship and praise in Heaven…

I never had the pleasure of meeting Brooke but I have felt like a sister with her for the years I have followed her story and prayed for her.
