I first met Brenda at 7N in Cape Canaveral Hospital. I worked as CNA/HUC. Mostly on the floor with patient care. I remember Brenda saying to me "Hey I don't like too many people, but I like you!" LOL. Brenda was the most amazing RN I had ever worked with. She was the mentor to all who worked with her. She took the time to teach me and show me different techniques of patient care. She knew her Nursing and she was just an incredible person to work with. She truly cared about every one of her patients and fellow employees. She was always joking but when we entered the patients room, she was the most caring and professional RN. When work got really hard at times, I use to say Brenda you should stop doing this type of work and teach, but as I realized in time she was teaching, everyone who walked her path in the medical field she taught. We discovered soon that we had another connection, her parents Jean & Ed Brison. They were our good friends & neighbor at Sunset Harbor Condo. We lived 3 doors down from each other. Jean & Ed were like 2nd parents to Tom & I. We became closer at that time. We had the pleasure of meeting the rest of the family as well. Her sisters Linda & Lisa and her sons Evan & Matt. She adored her family. She went to visit her parents almost every day to check up on them. Took her Mom shopping all the time & we all went out to dinner on occasions. Now I know where she got her funny personality & charm, from both her parents, the apple does not fall far from the tree! Her dad used to tell us the funniest stores when he worked with NASA. I will miss Brenda dearly like I miss her parents. I feel it was a true honor & pleasure to have had her in my life. Rest in Peace Brenda, I know you already have you Angel Butterfly Wings. Patti & Tom too.
And I wish to thank her family for the beautiful memorial they put together for her. It was beautiful and I know she is smiling down upon you all. Patti & Tom Beaulieu & Pete our little dog too! She loved Pete.

I worked with Brenda on 7 North at CCH. As a PT, I always appreciated Brenda’s nursing knowledge and the level of care she gave to her patients. I got to see her a few times near the end and she still had her amazing sense of humor. To her sons, family and friends…May her memory be a blessing to you.

Brenda was a coworker that became a friend the last year I even had the honor of taking care of her while she was going through surgery. She always had a positive attitude on her journey and gave me the best advice. My condolences to her family and friends. You will forever missed and loved.

My deepest condolences to Matt, Evan, her sisters, her family, and her friends. The world lost a sweet, caring, loving person and RN. I first met Brenda on 7N as a brand new RN. I was scared of her in the beginning. She had great knowledge and experience, she was such an advocate for her patients, and she expected so much when I gave her report. I knew I better have my stuff together! However, I soon learned that she had the biggest heart of all and she always would have my back when I needed it. She taught me so much and was a great mentor. She came to night shift for awhile and I was able to get to know her even better. She loved to joke and had such a great sense of humor. Over the years we slowly lost touch with one another, but we kept up with our annual Christmas cards. Brenda made such a positive impact on others. Truly an angel.

Brenda was a dear friend of my mother, Lisa. They knew each other for nearly 40 years, and I know their friendship meant a lot to both of them. Brenda was a very caring, generous, and kind person. I remember visiting her and her family when I was younger, and I have fond memories of speaking to her on the phone about our experiences as Registered Nurses. We will miss her, and I am sending love to Brenda's family.

Brenda was a remarkable nurse who worked for almost 20 years at Cape Canaveral Hospital with most of those years being a bedside nurse for post operative and orthopedic patients on the 7th floor. Her most valuable asset was her knowledge base and teaching skills. She was a resource for both new and seasoned nurses. She had a knack for developing a thoughtful repour with her patients. She had a big heart! Brenda loved her boys, her parents and Misty her cat and often entertained the staff with stories about them.
My deepest condolences to her two sons, sisters and all who loved Brenda.

I went through UF Nursing School with Brenda. We became friends on the first day of school, and our friendship continued for the next 40 years. She was kind, generous, caring, and fun to spend time with. I will miss her, and all of the special times we shared. I send my love to her sons, Matt and Evan. Lisa Steiner-Berner

My heart goes out to Matthew and Evan and all of Brenda’s family. I worked with Brenda for many years at Cape Canaveral Hospital. I am from East Hartford CT and Brenda and I shared many stories about living there. I will miss her wit and her quick come back one liners but most of all I will miss her genuine compassion for others. To Matthew and Evan, may your many memories give you comfort during this difficult time.

My heart goes out to Matthew and Evan. Your mom had such a fun loving spirit and caring character. She was quick to want others to laugh and was always there if a person felt down. Her generosity to others and myself is beyond recognition. I feel lost without my friend. I know she is at peace now and will forever be in our hearts. I will cherish my memories, laughs, cries and friendship.
Love,
Anne Vatalaro
