I was sad to hear about Boyd's passing. He was such a strong yet quiet leader. As a teacher he challenged me. He was encouraging. He set the bar by how he lived. He was not one for accolades. Truly his strength was his reliance on God's provision and prayer.
My husband and I met Boyd and Virginia when we attended Antioch Bible Church. We became good friends. Boyd was always an inspiration as was Virginia. We have known them many many years. We used to go out for dinner and Virginia would always have her Diet Coke.
They served the Lord with all their heart and I know they will be greatly missed by many. Boyd is now with his beloved Virginia and with his Lord and Savior. My prayers and condolences go out to Jonathan and Joy and their families.
I am grateful to have had the blessing of receiving Boyd's teaching, wisdom and insights through my friendship with Rick and Susan Yamamoto. I always looked forward to his visits to SoCal and was always encouraged and inspired by his servant heart and character, and profound wisdom and generosity to share them. I will miss him deeply and will continue to be inspired by his legacy. I am covering his family and greater community with prayer.
I didn't know Boyd for very many years but the few I had was like a lifetime. Boyd was so easy to know and become a friend with as he shared Jesus Christ everywhere he went and who he was with. I had recently lost my wife of 33 years and Boyd and I would pray for each other every day. When Boyd came to Cedaredge to visit family, I would not miss a chance to go see him and study the word of God. I miss his infectious laugh and will see him again on the other side. Rest with our Father Boyd.
