Current Situation as of January 10, 2026:
After a courageous six-year journey with a rare PEComa cancer, Bon has chosen to begin hospice care, with an expected time of one to two months. He will spend this precious time in Hawaii, a place deeply woven into his life story, where he fell in love with Maria, married, and began raising their family. Hawaii has always been his paradise, and he looks forward to enjoying the simple pleasures he loves most, savoring his favorite foods, soaking in the beauty of the islands, and, of course, enjoying a shave ice, a little taste of joy that always makes him smile.

Bon and Maria have shared 31 wonderful years together and are blessed with four cherished children: Bo (27) and his wife Christine, Amber (25), Bryson (24), and Alana (19), who are the center of his heart and the light of his life. Bon lives each day with quiet grace, always putting his family first. Gentle, steadfast, and true to his word, his kindness, generosity, and love touch everyone around him. His spirit shines in his family every day, bringing comfort, guidance, and a living reminder that love endures, holding them close in heart and spirit.

Following his passing, the family will hold a small gathering to celebrate Bon’s life and honor his final wish. His ashes will be scattered from a chartered boat in the waters of Hawaii, returning him to the place he loved most and allowing his spirit to rest peacefully among the islands he called paradise.
