Ben,Lots of memories but I'll simply say that it was a privilege to know you as a young man.  You stood out as an example and a leader to your friends and family.  I can only imagine the work you are starting on the other side... It must be important to have you leave this earth so soon.  Until we meet again my friend!

Bryan

Ben and I were in the same freshman ward at BYU.  I always enjoyed having deep discussions with him. On one occasion , a group of our friends were talking and several of us made off-color and inappropriate jokes. Ben spoke up and said that a group of soon-to-be missionaries shouldn’t use language like that. Everyone had so much respect for Ben that we took the correction and tried to follow his example. Ben was truly the best of us. I will always remember him and try to follow his example as someone who led a life of integrity and honor,
I will be forever grateful for Ben, for being a kind and cool roommate to our son Jacob at BYU, and especially to him and Sarah for helping Jacob & Alli in Philadelphia. You both made it possible for them to find housing, and have a family there.
One of my fondest memories is Ben & Sarah meeting us at the apartment to help unload after moving Jake & Alli across country. Your genuine love was overwhelming. I love you both so much - you both fought an amazing fight. I know Ben is with the Savior.
In response to "What act of kindness did you witness from Benjamin?"

Dear Sarah & Murphy Family, We are very saddened and sorry to hear of Ben’s passing. It was truly a joy to be in your branch in Philadelphia and to know you and to serve together. When we think of Ben, we think of someone who was always willing to serve and was an example of faith and love (especially to the youth), someone who was supportive of and loyal to Sarah and who was a loving spouse and her best friend, and someone who loved putting a smile on others’ faces. We love you and pray for comfort for you and your family during this difficult time.

SWEET BEN was our apartment boyfriend & always brought so much joy and laughter to us roommates. Quiet humor, gentle kindness, and was quick to love. When the song “I Like It Like That” by Cardi B came out, ben would always add his name after the line “oh he’s so handsome what’s his name?? (Ben!)

To this day I always say “ben” in my mind after that line when I hear the song. Quick to make others laugh and bring joy to those around him.

I have seen his love for Sarah countless times, and am so grateful for their example of service & kindness to others. ♡
