A few of my favorite memories with Ben:
-It was Sarah’s birthday and we got chicken from Love & Honey and he was enjoying a nice chicken tender. He asked Tanner a question and accidentally called him Tender.
-When he set up Eloise’s pink tent so she could sleep in it like a princess. That is still the best gift anyone has given her because God knows Jake nor I were going to build that.
-How he really disliked veggies but once told me he would grab a handful of spinach in the morning so he could get some nutrients.
-He never came over for a meal without doing the dishes and when I told him he didn’t need to, he wouldn’t stop!
-How he would let Eloise play with his guitar and then she would ask him to play her songs and he would for as long as she wanted.
-He always helped me get nice clothes for Jake and would tell me which ones were the best quality or the most comfy and send me links to make it easy.
-When he helped us move, I told him how grateful I was for making it so easy & fast and he said “Oh really? I thought this took way too long!”
-The night we came over after his biopsy and we just laughed for hours telling each other stories and drinking crisp Diet Cokes. For that moment, it felt like time didn’t exist and the room was full of light and peace.
We love Sarah and Ben so much. These are only a few memories, but there are literally hundreds that come to mind (usually Kate & Tanner are there, too ) and they bring me so much joy. I am honored to have known Ben.

I have been lucky enough to have watched Ben grow up from when he was a baby. In all the time I’ve known Ben, I have never once heard him be Braggadocious in anyway. He was always just very confident in who he was, but always quiet about his confidence. He was a huge help for me as the scoutmaster when we were at scout camp or on a hike or whatever we were doing he was always willing to help the other younger scouts or even his peers who might’ve been struggling. Even on a hike to Feather Falls coming out in 100 degree heat and I ran out of water he would drop back to check on me and ask me if I wanted some of his water. He has always been an exemplary young man.
