It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Pettaway on January 26, 2025. Born on January 15, 1962, Barbara left an indelible mark on all who knew her with her generous spirit, infectious laughter, and relentless positivity. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Walter Parson and Ruth Parson-Mims, brother Clarence Parson, niece Feirran Brown.

Though her departure leaves a void we can never fill, we take solace in the many happy memories she bequeathed us.

Milton (Valerie) Parson Mobile, AL., Walter Parson Jr. Mobile, AL., Johnny Parson Los Angeles, California, Charles (Leonora) Parson Mobile, AL., Marvin (Michelle) Parson Mobile, AL.  Brother-In-Laws Bubba (Rose) Ruffin Tennessee,  Sonny (Lisa) Pettaway Alabama,  Darron Pettaway Mississippi,  Ricky (Daphne) Pettaway Alabama,  Sister-In-Laws  Lynn Pettaway Alabama,  Jackie Pettaway Alabama.  A host of nieces and nephews.  

Her spirit lives on in the love she shared so freely and the joy she brought into our lives.

May her soul rest in eternal peace. We will miss her warm presence, but her spirit remains forever in our hearts.
