Avis Marie Anderson passed away from cancer on February 23, 2023 at her daughter's home in Memphis, TN.  Her daughter and son-in-law were at her side at the time of her death.  She was born in  Jerome, Idaho on July 28, 1936.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Crystine Dorman of Jerome, Idaho and her two brothers, Bill and Richard Dorman.  She is survived by her daughter Cindy Terry (Fletcher) of Memphis, TN, son Drue Anderson (Cindy) of San Antonio TX, daughter Linda Vogler of Kansas,  3 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.  

Avis loved travel, gardening, interior design, cooking, reading and photographing the high desert of Nevada. During her life she taught dancing and horseback riding.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

The family has opted for a private memorial to be held in her honor at a later date.
