Background
Until the day of his passing, Armando was passionate about nanotechnology. On July 4, 2015 he and Dr. Renato Mendoza Reyes co-founded the Nanotechnology Research Foundation (NTRF), a non-profit entity in the Philippines. In his words, “My dream is to bring this technology to the Philippines for treatment of cancer cases, particularly the hopeless ones for humanitarian purposes, as it incurs very little cost without surgery, chemotherapy nor radiation, and minimal side effects.”
